After my head injury. I was taking just Dilantin. Then after the many times I woke up in hospital, they increased my dosage. Then after more times waking up in more hospitals they started giving me different meds. Right now I am taking Dilantin & Primidone.

Do antibiotics increase your chances of having a seizure, even if your epilepsy is well controlled. How soon after starting the antibiotics would you notice increased seizure activity? And how long would this increased activity continue after stopping the antibiotics?

This year was tough for me because I got COVID and after that developed an allergy problem which if I took Claritin felt so much better. The issue now is if I stop the Claritin my seizures are on the rise again. Has anyone ever had something like this occur to them?

I’ve been taking Keppra for about 3 years now, but my neurologist increased my dose about a year ago, and I’ve gained about 25 lbs since that increase (for reference, I’m 5’2 and went from 120 lbs to 145 lbs... this was quite a change because I’d been 120 lbs for over 5 years).
