I have had epilepsy for 24 years now. I have over the past year or so having problems with my speech. Like calling the fridge a toilet. As well I start a conversation and stop dead In the middle because I have no clue what I was talking about. Does anyone else have these issues? Do you know why?
This happens quite often to me. From my understanding its mild seizures. It is embarrassing.
My husband heard about and research regarding listening to Mozart can help improve seizure frequency. It seems a bit fetched Has anyone heard of this research I'm not a classical music fan ,I use other forms of medication
I love listening to music as my radio is on all day listening to country and easy listening as no hard rock or rap in this house anywhere as I also listen to christian musci to and at night when go to… read more
best meds i ever had!!!
I had a conversation with a few people here. We all have had difficulties speaking. Getting confused, slurring words, dyslexia getting worse, not being able to put sentences together properly, etc.
If that’s a seizure, what type of seizure is it?
Or is it more likely just side-effects of medications?
Thanks.
I say with the utmost confidence that it's a result of the medication you take. UTMOST! I can remember when my meds weren't correct I had the hardest time keeping my thoughts, I remember wanting to… read more
I had 4 grand mal seizures since last night. I don't know if it's real but I feel like my boyfriend is deliberately angering me. I hadn't had a seizure since January 26, not even the staring type or ones where I just drop. I have so much stress on me right now but I feel so angry and full of rage and like I don't fit in my skin. Does anyone else feel like this after seizures? Furious, crying, paranoid? I feel so totally alone. Nobody understands and I'm tired of trying..
I either get angry or tired after seizures. I usually get really angry if someone is yelling, spouting hate comments, or verbally and emotionally abusing me while I seize. Especially with the hate… read more
Has anyone been diagnosed with seizure disorder that also has a thyroid issue and is a female and also has a major hormonal issue that affects her with having seizures?
Yes I had to have a hysterectomy when I was 29 I have thyroid Age 31 problems and seizures
Now I get more smaller seizures that for the most part I don't even know I'm having. Unless I bite my lip, tongue, fall down, or just walk off the edge of something instead of stepping down. These seizures are becoming more frequent, followed by a headache, dizziness, and loopy feeling, I don't have insurance anymore so I don't have meds anymore. Does anyone else get dizziness and feel loopy?
I would first check on your state and county ,through Social services, if they have Medical Assistant ( MA ) that a for of insurance through your state and county

I was asked by step son and he said I drink regularly during the day a few drinks, I asked my doc when I seen her and she gave me her opinion on it, just curious what is your opinion on the question here?
I never noticed the change
I take an anticonvulsant seizure medicine called Lamotrogine (generic for Lamictal). They do seem to control the grand mal seizures. However, I still do experience strange feelings from time to time off and on throughout the day; not everyday but still, a LOT of the times, at any given time. I also experience spontaneous jerks of either a hand, a foot, any limb or sometimes my whole body. But it ends just as quickly as it began. Sometimes, I'll "space out" and kinda feel like noises near me are… read more

So, I found out something interesting today basically by accident. The GP ordered I had my health assessment with is getting me to do a blood test which includes thyroid tests TSH, TFT
I've never had these before. Originally I didn't really think much of it and just thought it was probably just a standard test. will admit I do have some of the symptoms of thyroid issues. Having said that I did look into it and found out that the thyroid gland is basically controlled by the hypothalamus in… read more
