I updated "my story" for this app yesterday. And it mentions that I am currently working towards getting an associates degree in science (specifically surgical technology). But my long-term goal is to work towards getting a doctorate degree in neurosurgery . Having epilepsy is what has inspired me to pursue this goal. So I am curious to know if there are others that are on a similar journey.

After reading comments on a thread I was seeing that a lot of people experience some depression after seizures. Depression is something I've delt with most of my life. Things will be going good, seizures won't be bad, relationships are doing great, but then I have a mild seizure that puts me down for days or even a few weeks straight. Hello everyone, I ask this question to everyone who might read this and actually had an ablation or craniotomy surgery for epilepsy. I am not talking about VNS or any other brain stimulation surgery, just the ones that are eliminating the focal area that causes problems in the brain. This maybe a silly and inappropriate question to ask.But, does seizures affect sex? Probably not in most cases as I know epileptic people with children. However can it just affect sex in general?

Is it part of my parietal lobe seizures? Maybe focal aware? I have focal unaware mostly (complex partials), also simple focal aware (auras) of rt temporal parietal lobes, and sometimes bilateral to left side temporal parietal lobes also. Anyone ever experience this type of sensation or is it something else??

I do not like any drugs. I never take pain medication, unless it’s Ben-Gay or Icy Hot. I take Tylenol if needed, but only take the prescribed dosage and stay in bed.

I have both grand mal seizures and partial (small/absent) seizures. But i more often have the partial seizure, and as my diagnosis is fairly new, and i only devloped epilepsy within the past 2 years.
