I’ve been on Keppra for 18 months, it’s worked very well, I had a surgery two weeks ago and I feel like I’m starting to have jerks in the last few days, anyone else ever had it stop working? Specifically after a major surgery?
The only thing with Info it's a Controlled substance just like Vimpat that I take.
Anyone heard of Keppra rage?
I'm on it, no prob my opinion, once in while, slight fatigue and naps,
I try to control myself as I know the temporal and frontal lobe damage I have as revealed in an MRI enhances my potential for irritability and anger.
Well Keppra Was The Worse Medication For Me, So I Stopped Taking It. It Gave Me A Zombie Affect & Made Me Sleep All Day & Night Without Eating
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , it is a common Side Effect of people showing anger or getting mad easier than before taking the medication. Behavior changes is another common side effect, along with many… read more
Has anyone experience a weight gain on @Keppra? I have gained almost 20 lbs in just 45 days. I also take Zoloft for depression and anxiety.
Yeah all's we can do is eat healthy and work out because if your able to drive and you wanna switch meds then you can't drive for 6 months .. hope this helps
I am currently on Dilantin and does not seem to be processing through my body the same after taking it for 40 years and been having spikes in my phenytoin levels over 30. I also have been experiencing more side effects. My neurologist is suggesting to switch me to keppra/levetiracetam or lamotrigine/lamictal. Any thoughts or experiences?
I'm taking both as a combo. Works great for me
I've been dealing with a lot of rage and anger and just general not feeling like myself. It has come to my attention that there is something called keppra rage that comes from taking keppra which is what I take for my seizures. Has anyone or is anyone also dealing with this and have you found anything to help deal with or get rid of the rage?
I'm still on Keepra . I'm skeptical about switching. Im back driving now. I may have a little rage if I'm around people that trying to get over. Like family members. I moved to another town stay away… read more
yesterday i saw a specialist with my epilepsy, me and her decided that i should try Keppra.
But i didnt realise that there are so many negative effects with mood while taking this medication, has anybody any experience please with this medication or advice, i would be very greatful.
I've had the mood swings while taking Keppra
Does anyone else take this? Think you've had any benefits? I've taken it for a few years now along with lamotragine, i don't think the lacosomide benefits me in any way & want to come off that one - will mention it to the neurologist today.
I have been on it for about a year along with clonzepam and carbamazepine. I had been on Generic keppra for years and my doctor felt it was time for a change. I love it. No major side effects for me.
