Does anyone who is still in high school that has seizures have a paraprofessional
Try to get medical insurance. U are eligible. Dont worry. Do u live in america?
Hi guys,
I'm not on any medication at the moment for my tonic clonic and grand mal seizures.
I'm wanting to speak to my Dr about maybe starting Topomax.
Has anyone been on it? Any side effects? Does it help stop seizures?
Did you take topomax in conjunction with other seizure meds or on it's own?
Thanks heaps.
I hope you have a blessed Christmas holiday also @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member
I suggest to do a overnight EEG.
Mine were called Absence, now Partial Awareness. Where I live there is no Liability Insurance, so they call 911. I would not trust anyone to administer anything. I now wear a Lifeline button. I had a fall because I had not eaten due to a tooth being pulled, and was in the ER.
Mark, thank you.
Yes. Generally, if a seizure starts it can then spread to different parts including the frontal lobe.
I try to control myself as I know the temporal and frontal lobe damage I have as revealed in an MRI enhances my potential for irritability and anger.
Well Keppra Was The Worse Medication For Me, So I Stopped Taking It. It Gave Me A Zombie Affect & Made Me Sleep All Day & Night Without Eating
Since I've moved to Australia I've been taking generic keppra and lamictal. I took the same medicine in the USA, but I'm feeling some intense side effects from the generic medicine here. My friend that's a pharmacist said it could be from fillers that are used in the medicine. I'd pay for the name brand but it's very expensive. And then the stress from the financial strain can cause a seizure. Anyway, could there be something in the medicine that I'm not aware of?
All of my meds are in generic my insurance will not paid for brand name
what are the symptoms of a focal aware seizure for those with right frontal lobe epilepsy. my 17yr old son has only ever had imfrequent tonic clonic while sleeping but daytime eeg active is suggesting seizure activity which we have not noticed. so could he be having focal seizures that he or us are unaware of? is on keppra at the moment. no rage at least!
In the hospital right now, this sounds like me
I have found lately that after a seizure I am so much more sensitive to criticism and to well basically anything emotionally draining.
Am I the only one?
I'm hoping this is normal!
I feel you
Rolandic Epilepsy usually ends with menarche, or adolescence. My sister had it.
