ok, i think your saying 'kid seizures are med resistent cause there brain has not full developed until 10 years old... then it stopped'? if that is true, i would not have the surgery. ya see, i was diegnosed at 6 years old (i think) and drs trace it back to 5 (when i had my kindergarden boosters vaccines). to this day, i still have seizures at age 38. but some kid seizures will stop... but it is within a couple of month to adulthood. your brain slows down at age 10-12 but not fully stopped til age 25-27.

I started taking phenytoin at the age of 6 year old due to brain damage caused by a dentist giving me too much gas, is when my epilepsy started but not recognised till I was aged 9 .

I'm not to sure what you mean but this really depends on what they are trying to diagnose the child with. In a general sense anything to do with the front of the brain (frontal lobe) then yes, it's very possible but as you get further back in to the Temporal, Parietal and Occipital lobes. then its unlikely that you can outgrow it. In my case I got TLE from age 4 and was able to get it pretty much fully controlled but the scaring never went away.

They even tested this (stupidly) by attempting to wean me off the meds and within two weeks I was having seizures.
