I have found lately that after a seizure I am so much more sensitive to criticism and to well basically anything emotionally draining.
Am I the only one?
I'm hoping this is normal!
It's very normal I'm the same way. I'm actually also just sensitive to that stuff anyways because any stress causes triggures so I don't like to hear any complaining or negativity
I'm very sensitive after seizure too. If you aren't careful, I can start sobbing uncontrollably or even start screaming. Then when I snap out of that I get very stubborn. I've come to the conclusion that it is part of my postictal state and I have no control over it whatsoever.
Agreed! Everyone has postictal symptoms, if you feel out of control or out of character it is with reason, after all who feels good themselves after putting on the show!
Sometimes after a seizure that I have in public makes me feel very sensitive. Example -:my place where I have volunteered in town has really hit home. My electronic background has helped with the space missions at the Challenger Learning Center. I've told everyone there of my situation and what to do if I have a seizure. Many of the personal there have been very understanding and helpful. It seems though as the Business leaders have changed, the facility has changed a lot. I've been pretty good for awhile previous to an seizure accident about 1 year ago when I had a fall injury at home and needed rotator cuff surgery. Recently Oct 5th I had the RNS implant. I did have a seizure there on Oct 27th. The Rescue Squad was called, but really didn't need to be. But better for them for safety.
I Hope this next year will change for the better, to be able to get me out and doing something constructive.
Merry Christmas
