My neuro told me that Epilepsy is not a qualifying condition, but NY State released the list of who would qualify next. It says:
Beginning February 15, 2021:
Adult New Yorkers of any age with the following conditions qualify for the vaccine:
"Neurologic conditions including but not limited to Alzheimer's Disease or dementia"
We have a neurological condition, but of course it's different than dementia. I can't find any further definition. Would you go ahead and try to get an appointment… read more
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member My sister, who got her shots along with me, was wiped out the day after, but I was lucky that all I got from the second shot was just like the first -- the "mosquito bite"… read more
Due to many controversial criticism etc. against the Covid-19 vaccination for people with epilepsy, I did not get the vaccination. But due to work requirements, I am strongly considering getting a vaccination
I take Tegretol (600mg / day). But as I have read, that some older antiepileptic medications can 'collide' with Covid vaccinations, especially with Tegretol. Due to the way both, the vaccination and how Tegretol work in the body, it is possible that getting a Covid jab can induce long… read more

Hey Guys,
I haven't been on for a while and I'm sure it's already been asked but....
How many of you have had the Covid-19 shots (and which one and why).
Also, my doctor wants me to get Pfizer along with my partner,
but by the time he gets it his work would have started and he won't because he hasn't had the shot.
Again, we can have the Astra in a few days and everything would be alright.
I'm very confused,
I am alright I had the Oxford Astra zenica an I am perfectly alright they are saying for the booster we might get the one the doctors are asking you to have they have studied having them mixed first… read more
Has anyone gotten the vaccine? Do you feel it has made seizures worse? Have any of y'all heard of shedding? I know it's a touchy subject for a lot of people. Personally I am NOT vaxxed, nor will I be getting it. I am surrounded by people that are.
I've had all the shots including the updated covid shots. Also all flu shots are up to date.
68 yrs old feeling good.
No problems
Is it just me are all the rules for covid-19 complicated? I live in the UK in a tier 4 area but the government keep changing the rules which make it difficult to keep up.

Everything that you need to know is right on this site.
I’m hoping to hear from folks who seizures began after they were Covid vaccinated, as is the case with my husband.
Did any of you have your first time ever seizure since you were Covid vaccinated?
I really feel bad because i mentioned that i was not going to take the vaccine under any circumstances. Now i plan to visit family in NYC soon. Following the travel advisory news they are trying to secure themselves in having anyone and all passengers traveling domestically will need to have proof that you have taken the vaccine. How do you feel about this forceful decision now that J and J have put a stop on the vaccine because of blood clot issues?
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I’ve had the AstraZeneca vaccine and I’ve been ok I had a sore arm and a rash two weeks later with itchiness and I was tired I’m waiting to second shot I’m glad you got your… read more
