Has Anyonre Tried The Combination Of Cabatrol + Briviact

Hello, Friends.

I have tried the combination Briviat with Carbatrol before, along with Lyrica and Topamax. Once I start with Briviact, I will so much better than I don't even consider it a seizure, than after a week or so, I start to experience more seizures than usual.

Currently, I am taking Carbatrol + Fycompa + Lyrica. I have been thinking to re-take Briviact again. I know there is an interaction between Briviact and Tegretol, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried/ trying this combination… read more

Carbatrol

I've been put up to 1200 mg per day of tegretol retard. This is the maximum dose and seems very high - has anyone else been on such a high dose and did you suffer any side effects?

The dosages of the meds are increased by your weight. I’m on Carbatrol too. I take them 3 time a day . The total mg equals 2,100 . Plus I’m on 4 other medications.

Anyone have any experience switching off carbatrol to lamictal? Did you have seizures? They want me off 200 mg a week. Off in 4 weeks and building up on lamictal now before cutting carbatrol.

I have been on it for almost 14 years and all my bloodwork has been fine. I haven't had a grand mal seizure since I started taking it.

Twitching And Jerking

Twitching And Jerking

So I have had 2 episodes of twitching and jerking. My diagnosis is nocturnal tonic clonic but for the twitching and jerking I am aware and am able to respond though it seems like way too much work to talk. The first episode of t & j was after a tonic clonic. I was t-ing and j-ing so much that my husband felt he needed to hold me tight. Not the right response at all and certainly not comfortable. Last night I had another round of t-ing and j-ing. Lasts for several minutes I think. Always starts… read more

I am so sorry that I have no words of advice or comfort regarding switching meds. When my neuros have suggested a switch it send me into a panic and I feel like a drug addict. All the best MikelThor.

Hey guys,

I have a strange case here, I'm been "FYCOMPA" for over two weeks, but the strange thing that I will start to have seizure once I'm on 4mg. However, 2mg everything is fine, In reality if the medication is working shouldn't give a side-effect, but help out more. Am i right?

Did/Has any one have a situation like that and do you know why?

Note: I'm taking Tegretol + carbetrol and know these medication decrease the efficiency of the Fycompa.

Thank you!
