A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Currently, I am taking Carbatrol + Fycompa + Lyrica. I have been thinking to re-take Briviact again. I know there is an interaction between Briviact and Tegretol, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried/ trying this combination… read more

What Is The Modern Day Drug Used To Replace Dilantin?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I use, successfully, two narrow spectrum drugs after brain surgery in Jan 2016. Lacosamide (Vimpat) & Dilantin have helped get 7 yrs 3 months seizure free. But Dilantin was invented in 1908. Is there a newer replacement for it?

Anyone have any experience switching off carbatrol to lamictal? Did you have seizures? They want me off 200 mg a week. Off in 4 weeks and building up on lamictal now before cutting carbatrol.
