I'm 18 years old and have had Absent seizures since I was 2. The many different medicines I have taken have not worked for me. More bad than good. all the side affects. My Dr. is suggesting a VNS. I've been having moments while I'm driving and suddenly don't know exactly where I am. Eventually, I figure it out, and I've never veered from my original intended route. Nonetheless, it's frightening to think this has happened three times. Is this epilepsy, early onset dementia, Alzheimer's or something else? Has anyone else experienced the same thing?

Has anyone ever had a Generalized seizure that was so quick and subtle you can only tell it's generalized via EEG? I had two small seizures picked up on a 3-day video EEG. It turns out that this is most likely what happened to me during the last time I did this. I'm just trying to work out how a generalized seizure would present if it is very quick? And I mean 30 seconds min.

I feel I do. Some I just sit or stand (whatever I'm already doing) and talk. Other ones I walk around and swing my arms. That sounds like 2 different seizures.

O.k.I was up at 5am and up and active all day on my feet and walking around. I get 4 types, grand mal, absence, clonic and simple partical where im fully awake but unable to speak
Riley has Tonic-clonic, myoclonic seizures and then she also has medically unexplained syncope. It is not unusual for her seizures to last 15 minutes. Her syncope can last 3 hours.
My seizures are different.. from what i have researched they sound like they are absent seizures. But what I do is I lose my focus and thought. Its like i zone out for about 2 to 3 seconds.. and i have ask qustions before.
