I've been taking 600mg Zonisamide and 6mg Fycompa for a few years and still having seizure from time to time. A month ago I added .5 CBD oil in the am and pm. It had been 6 weeks ALL GOOD but then I had another seizure!!! Does that mean the medical marijuana isn't working?
As an addendum... I am still on keppra and gabapentin but much, much smaller amounts! I am also off 5 other prescription medications I was on for pain and autoimmune disorder.
People with complex partial who started smoking, how did it affect your seizures? Did it affect anything else? I take several different medications, i only started smoking within the past 3 weeks. in the past 3 days ive smoked in the am, along with the pm, and the past 3 days ive had no auras. I had no absents either, but theyre few and far between, 0-2 a month, i do have several auras a month though, 1-4 a day, 30-40 a month, so 3 days without is a big thing 🤣 so how are you complex partials… read more
One last thing thing, You put a very pretty picture for everyone to see. In the past I have noticed people that don’t like smoking started to pay less attention to the people that do.
I have had seizures since I was 16 years old, and now I am 54. I believe that medications have affected me in many ways besides memory problems, I have a lot of anxiety and paranoia. I have even thought on quitting my job because of how bad anxiety has gotten. I have taken lemotragine for decades now. I am tired of doctors saying to me that lemotragine is a mood stabilizer. Hi I just got approved for my medical marijuana card for epilepsy and I have no idea how to use it for medical purposes. Does anyone else use it? And what do you use Capsules, flower, extract etc. And what strain/percentage of thc to cbd?
I have been taking Epidiolex, which does not have the THC in it. I know the dose I am taking. That makes me feel better.

I have tried about 7 different types of AED medications on each pill I had 20-50 side effects. I feel as though I'm the certain % of people in which the pills don't work at all. I know that many doctors get kick backs from big pharmaceutical companies. No matter what I tell them about how bad I feel on the meds, they just keep shoving them down my throat even when they have told me the pills dive don't work. Matijuana helps me out with my with my pursue head ace 's . They are very strong from the number of seizurers I have.

I would like to know if any of you use marijuana instead of medication. Do you feel stoned and unable to do your daily things? I was diagnosed with epilepsy November 2022. I have tried 5 different medications and now the Dr wants me to try another. I can not stand the way they make me feel!

Yes, you have to get it from a medical Marijuana place that way they know what you need to not make you paranoid or in the couch not being able to get chores done.

Some of the states in the United State have legalized CBD / medical marijuana . That includes the state of Minnesota, where I live.
Hi guys,
I'm not on any medication at the moment for my tonic clonic and grand mal seizures.
I'm wanting to speak to my Dr about maybe starting Topomax.
Has anyone been on it? Any side effects? Does it help stop seizures?
Did you take topomax in conjunction with other seizure meds or on it's own?
