Vaccines
I wouldn’t know. Been to the hospital numerous times with some stays for a few days and I have never gotten Covid. Wish I could say the same for epilepsy
I’ve thought about getting the vaccine but I’m scared it might do something to my health because I have seizures if anyones got it please give me answers and your personal opinion
Ive had all 3 now. The second pfizer left me really sick w/ flu like symptoms for two days. I did have a GM after that. The third was only about half as bad for flu like symptoms. No seizure.
I went in for my 1st vaccines and did just fine. But when I went for the booster, it knocked me into seizures for at least 3 days/nights.
Unfortunately, too much information about vaccines and potential effects from any of them (way back to when the first vaccines were created for polio, small pox and others) is not known but most of… read more
Hey Guys,
I haven't been on for a while and I'm sure it's already been asked but....
How many of you have had the Covid-19 shots (and which one and why).
Also, my doctor wants me to get Pfizer along with my partner,
but by the time he gets it his work would have started and he won't because he hasn't had the shot.
Again, we can have the Astra in a few days and everything would be alright.
I'm very confused,
I am alright I had the Oxford Astra zenica an I am perfectly alright they are saying for the booster we might get the one the doctors are asking you to have they have studied having them mixed first… read more

I’ve had both doses of Maderna. My fear was that because of it I’d have a seizure, it didn’t happen 😀. Before I take any medication I research to find out if it lowers the seizure threshold, if it… read more
Is it just me are all the rules for covid-19 complicated? I live in the UK in a tier 4 area but the government keep changing the rules which make it difficult to keep up.

Now that a vaccine for covid is in further trials is anyone worried it will interfere with their current epilepsy medication?
I had the first of the two Astra Zenica injections and it’s had no bad effects on my epilepsy at all. Due the second one in roughly 8 weeks now.

My neuro told me that Epilepsy is not a qualifying condition, but NY State released the list of who would qualify next. It says:
Beginning February 15, 2021:
Adult New Yorkers of any age with the following conditions qualify for the vaccine:
"Neurologic conditions including but not limited to Alzheimer's Disease or dementia"
We have a neurological condition, but of course it's different than dementia. I can't find any further definition. Would you go ahead and try to get an appointment… read more
