Accidentally Taking Two Doses Of Medication
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Last night I took two doses of my medication in the space of two hours. It was at night time. These were Zebinix, Zonetran, Keppra, Fycompra & Folic Acid. Again (as mentioned in a previous post) I felt a hazzy almost 'high' feeling.
Should people do anything I'm particular when this happens?

Is Having Speech Difficulties Signs Of Having A Seizure? Or Is It Side-effects From Medications?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had a conversation with a few people here. We all have had difficulties speaking. Getting confused, slurring words, dyslexia getting worse, not being able to put sentences together properly, etc.
If that’s a seizure, what type of seizure is it?
Or is it more likely just side-effects of medications?
Thanks.

@Pamale6
I always had trouble speaking clearly when I was having an aura, which is a warning sign for a seizure.

How Frightening Is It To Live Alone With Epilepsy?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am currently living with a family member. I am wanting to provide a home for myself, yet I am very scared, and so is my family member.
I haven't lived alone for quite some time, due to filing for disability, I wasn't able to work and had no income. Now that I have been approved for disability and there is some income (not really much to live on) I want to live on my own again.

What precautions are there for me to take?
what advice can be given to me?

How Long Does It Normally Take To Regain Consciousness After A Seizure Has Ended?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

My seizures last about 5 minutes (or less), although the seizure stops I still remain unconscious for long (anything between 10-40 minutes), should someone seek medical assistance or is it best to just to just wait it out. My neurologist says there is nothing they can do so best just to wait. It’s a terrible feeling and it’s a struggle to regain consciousness, move my limbs and open my eyes. I just want a second opinion to set my husband at ease when it happens.

Anyone On So Much Medication That Feeling Physical Pain Is Affected?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve had stitches twice, and fractured a bone in my good shoulder this year. I’ve had knee and shoulder surgery in the past. My knee continues to swell up at times and my bad shoulder can pop in and out.
I shouldn’t be complaining but I haven’t needed a Advil, Tylenol or aspirin.
After a seizure I can feel the headache but it doesn’t hurt.

From falling or just accidentally injuring myself. Doesn’t matter if seizure related or not.
