Drug resistancy
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, are you still having cluster seizures.. if so , talk to your Neurologist/Epileptologist , about Recovery meds, like Ativan and Lorazepam.
I'm happy to learn about this and plan on discussing with neurologist. I've downloaded the questions to discuss with her.
I'm so grateful for this resource. ❤️
I have tried 6 meds and considered vns, which is where I first heard this notion that your chances of finding a med that works even minimally drops to 4% after having tried 5 medications for seizures. My neurologist adamantly
disagreed, but I thought 30% of people with epilepsy were considered intractable.
Thanks friends

Living the lifestyle of Epilepsy, I've learnt that everything we do , involves a certain level of risk. For example, walking, chores, working, leaving our home, driving, riding thrill rides at an amusement parks and ect. These examples have different levels of risks. How big of risks are you willing to take , to live a close to normal life.
I take zero risk as I just live a normal live

And it wasn't something that happened once and done but repeatedly during the whole time had to do it with and without constrast I seem to continue having convulsions until they stopped the machine and it started all over again shortly after they would start it back up Which got me to wondering can an MRI cause or induce seizures in… read more
Yes. I had a no-contrast MRI and it caused partial seizures 30 minutes afterwards.
