I've been taking Leveteracetam for years however I've noticed when it's not Keppra I have different side affects and the medication doesn't work that well for me. I insisted that I have Keppra as I know how my brain and body feels different when the brand is any other. I've been told before that the ingredients are the same it's just different branding and packaging. And recently that Keppra is more expensive which for me says there is probably a difference in the ingredients.

People with complex partial who started smoking, how did it affect your seizures? Did it affect anything else? I take several different medications, i only started smoking within the past 3 weeks. in the past 3 days ive smoked in the am, along with the pm, and the past 3 days ive had no auras. I have tried about 7 different types of AED medications on each pill I had 20-50 side effects. I feel as though I'm the certain % of people in which the pills don't work at all. I know that many doctors get kick backs from big pharmaceutical companies. No matter what I tell them about how bad I feel on the meds, they just keep shoving them down my throat even when they have told me the pills dive don't work. Hey everyone. I recently decided to switch from name brand lamictal and keppra to generic. My doctor said it is cimpletely fine, but i just want to know if anyone has any first hand knowledge on this? Its just so much cheaper is why.

I have had seizures since I was 16 years old, and now I am 54. I believe that medications have affected me in many ways besides memory problems, I have a lot of anxiety and paranoia. I have even thought on quitting my job because of how bad anxiety has gotten. I have taken lemotragine for decades now. I am tired of doctors saying to me that lemotragine is a mood stabilizer. I do not like any drugs. I never take pain medication, unless it’s Ben-Gay or Icy Hot. I take Tylenol if needed, but only take the prescribed dosage and stay in bed.

While major cities already have support groups for adult epileptics and parents of epileptics, Central California does not. The major Epilepsy organization has covered Southern California and Northern California but our counties have gotten dropped behind. (The Northern California group is starting to have some meetings in Fresno for parents, if you can find them.)
