A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Do You Get More Or Less Nervous Riding With A Certain Person Compared To Another? Or Do You Just Not Let It Bother You ?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

There are many friends and families, who have driven me to places. Some are fast drivers, some may be cautious, people who easily get road rage. I myself don’t, let any of them get to my nerves ,since I’ve never been in control of driving .

Has Anyone Used An Anti Nausea Band
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Due to other health conditions I take multiple medications as well as every five weeks have to have Remicade Infusions. A few of the medications along with the infusions cause nausea. I read somewhere that the bands are wonderful to help with that but may not be good for people with seizure disorders. I just want to see if anyone has ever tried them? I would love to eliminate all the meds to stop the nausea.

Is Nitrous Oxide Safe For Children With Epilepsy?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

My 14 yr old ID son needs to have a baby tooth pulled, and the dentist wants to use nitrous oxide to relax him. The nurse at the neurologist’s office said it is safe. But, he just had his first seizure in four years last month. So, I’m a little nervous. Has anyone with a child with seizures used this for a procedure? If yes, was it in the dental office or at a hospital? Did things go smoothly, or is there anything I should be aware of ahead of time?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member

I was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of seven, and have had several dental procedures done requiring the use of nitrous oxide. I always let the dentist know ahead of time That I have epilepsy, and… read more

Do You Drive Even Though You Know You Aren't Suppose To?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I find on Facebook many people state the drive although their license has been pulled. I was diagnosed when I had a tonic clonic seizure driving and crashed my car. I believe many people still drive thinking an aura/focal is no big deal. These as in my case; can lead to TCs.

Do You Still Have Your License?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Something some said got to me. Not all forms of epilepsy make tou loose consciensness. I am always alart and and aware of several of my triggers. My sezuires are either absent, mind staring or simple/conplex jerks (like a cold chill).

I have complex partial seizures. My neurologist and I have talked about my license as I have brought it up. He sees no reason to revoke my license and my diagnosis does not require them to be.

Anyone else still have their license?
