Has anyone tried cannabis or cbd oils? I have started smoking pot about a few months back and noticed less activity. Pros and cons?
I was using oil and large doses. Had 9 seizures before I got to the hospital. What they injected worked
I have been having issues for about 3 weeks where my threshold seems lower, and my left arm and right leg seem to be weaker. When I fall asleep my right leg feels like it want's to go into a seizure, I find an ice pack sooths the feeling but of course gives me anxiety when trying to sleep.
Has anyone experienced this, particularly when staying up later or using Marijuana?
Have you contacted your neurologist? I only can take tylenol. Try even stretching thats what I do.

Tanya19, I just looked up an article on here about abdominal epilepsy. It is something that occurs in children and adolescents, most often in girls but in boys as well. I suggest looking it up in the… read more
My doctor suggested I get a dog to keep me company since I’m home alone most of the time , I walk him twice a day and he sticks to me like glue especially when I’m in seizure mode he will sit and stay on my lap on the couch and won’t let me leave the couch . So I understand now when he sticks to me oddly he understands me better than anyone else
I use a CPAP machine to help ensure I get enough oxygen to my brain whilst sleeping
So based on my auras and seizure activity, my doctor is pretty sure of where my seizures are occurring? Tricky part, is my MRI and scalp eeg came out clean, suggesting that my seizures are occurring deep in the brain that an MRI and scalp egg can't pick up. One of the ways to confirm the theory is to do an seeg where you go under general anesthesia, drill tiny holes in your head and stick wires right on top of the brain and stay in the hospital to record seizure activity. I've done video egg… read more
I have done 3 different VEEGs to decide whether or not I was a candidate for the treatment.
Actually, back in 2021 on a day that my sister and I had to rush our mom (now almost 85 years-old), I experienced for possibly the first time (I have no memories of most days in June 2003) a wave of… read more
My seizures last about 5 minutes (or less), although the seizure stops I still remain unconscious for long (anything between 10-40 minutes), should someone seek medical assistance or is it best to just to just wait it out. My neurologist says there is nothing they can do so best just to wait. It’s a terrible feeling and it’s a struggle to regain consciousness, move my limbs and open my eyes. I just want a second opinion to set my husband at ease when it happens.
I have always had someone with me who understands what is going on. I wouldn’t want to be alone after a seizure. My son is the best. Very calm, very reassuring, and acts like we have all the time in… read more

Something sounds to high. Glad you got an appt.
I have had tonic clonic seizures since they called them grand mals. I feel educated. Thanks for your responses.
I’ve have been losing feeling in my legs at least 1 day a week on days I go in to work. I work at 5am. My legs just go numb and they go side to side like someone who is paralized. I have to catch myself before I fall. It doesn’t last that long. It’s pretty scary. I never admit anything scares me. I’m trying to be more open in my life. I’ve never been open about my epilepsy. I feel I’m getting worse. It just started happening a few weeks ago. Does this happen to anyone else?
