I’ve tried it a few times & found it effective but it is a real tightrope to manage & easy to fall out of & the keto flu is no joke !

Johns Hopkins research in the last 10 years has shown that a clinical Ketogenic diet or even a Modified Atkin's diet can be effective for some adults as well as children. It used to be thought effective for only children. This is backed up with peer revieved studies. Search "ketogenic Johns Hopkins adults" and follow the Johns Hopkins hits. More epileptologist including mine at a level 4 epilepsy center know about this.

I am currently at week 10 on a medically supervised Modified Atkin's Diet prescribed by my epileptologist but it is still too early to tell how well it might be working for my epilepsy. Modified Atkin's diet is easier to follow because it allows up to 25 grams of carbs per day. Both should be done only under medical supervision. My insurance is covering the dietician because of my epilepsy.
