I was on it when I was a kid and was sent to Mexico for it. They wouldnt allow my parents to get me off of meds and get on keto. After about 4 days i was seizure free. I did it for 2 years and my seizures went away and i returned back to the USA seizure free and no meds. After about 9 years i smacked my head and they returned. I later had brain surgery to control them. Keto can eliminate seizures for some, but it has to be done as a child. It does help control them as an adult. Good luck
I will try. But I know it will be difficult at 71. Love coffee....the rest sounds like what my Dr suggests. Cut the carbs and sugar. That for the advise.
Jen and me research and discover keto not a good fit medically with all .. for me with severe cardiac and lung problems, as well as brittle Tyoe I diabetes .. red mest and high fat are not good ., we follow our version of Mediterranean diet ., low fat .. no red meat ., only fish and poultry .. homegrown veggies and fruits ., lowfat dairy and eggs .. no fried foods only boil, bake or microwave .. no caffeine . .. no alcohol .. avoid high fats and sugar .. low carbs .. avoid bread and baked goods .. drink herbal teas .. and fruit smoothies with whey protein we make ourselves .. avoid salt and sugar .. take long walks with plenty of being outdoors.. we got approval from all our docs .. seems to be so far working well for us all here .. hugs from William and Jen πππ€π€ππ
I've heard about it, but live according to "Nates" diet, so I can't help there π
Dr put me on additional med. I am not taking. She stopped me. Was adding seizures. Back on regular meds. Only get period focals. Realize just have to live with it after 71 years.
Feeling back to normal.
