Rivotril
What can some one take in place of rivotril. Cause I drink rivotril and sometimes the hopstials don't have
I’m not from your area , but I read that Clonazepam can replace Rivotril

Just wondering when and for how long others use Rivotril. Is it effective for you?
I use this as a "calm down" if i have an uncontrollable absence for example, they give me a half so i close my eyes. With a heavy seizure that doesn't seems to stop Temesta is used.

Carbamazepine
Anyone have any experience switching off carbatrol to lamictal? Did you have seizures? They want me off 200 mg a week. Off in 4 weeks and building up on lamictal now before cutting carbatrol.
I have been on it for almost 14 years and all my bloodwork has been fine. I haven't had a grand mal seizure since I started taking it.
My Daughter Is 13yrs Old. She Has Been Diagnosed Epileptic Since 2018.
After many test, it was found she has CACNA1A and her Dr says she is drug resistant( she is on Tegretol, Keppra, Fycompa and Rivitrol). With being drug resistant..is it necessary to be then on all these medications? Her Doctors kept on putting her on more medications but now being drug resistant, what's the purpose. I agree with Ant2, the medications may have some benefit even though she is resistant. I have a very high tolerance to many medications, but I know my life would be so much worse without them.
Anyone Notice Any Food Triggers (allergy Or Non-allergy)?
Knowing what triggers are really help with coping with epilepsy. Surely I avoid them best I can... but think I'm still musing a lot of them.
What are some of yours?
I know persevatives, additives, excess caffeine and heavily vibegared food are the biggest for me.
I do have a citrus intolerance (mainly with lemon) that makes me dizzy and very sleepy.
Eggs seem to bother me but not allergic.

How To Fight The Extreme Drowsiness Caused By Seizure Medication?
My child 14 years is on maximum doses of 3 seizure medication- oxcarbazepine, clobazam and keppra .He is always very drowsy and irritable and depressed? What to do?
