Hi everyone
My Neurologist has suggested taking Lamotragine alongside Leveteracitam to control Myaclonus. Leveteracitam has reduced the Myaclonus considerably but I still have them especially when I cant manage tiredness, stress or in an environment that brings anxieties. Does anyone take Lamotragine and if so does it reduce Myaclonic seizures? and what are the side effects people are experiencing on this drug?

Levetiracetam is my current medication/treatment for seizures but I can’t stand the side effects, such as insomnia, loss of appetite, irritability, and worsening depression.

Liz, I see a counselor weekly and psychologist 1 a month. They both help a lot.
My husband is currently on lamotrigine and lacosamide and the longest he’s been seizure free is about 3 months. He’s tried Keppra and didn’t like the side effects. I’m just wondering if he should try something new.
