Has anyone tried and complementary therapies such as massage, aromatherapy, acupuncture alongside their AED's to help with the side effects of their medications or just to help lower their stress levels to try and control their seizures? I've had acupuncture and absolutely hated it so I'm wondering if its worth trying anything else.

As the Neurologist seem to be throwing long named medication at us in a scattergun approach. The big corporations have succeeded in making us all believe herbs are for loonies and witches, even though the just strip the necessary constituents out of herbs and package it differently, then charge a fortune. I take Dilantin and high amounts of B12 to keep depression at bay. I can really feel the difference the B12 makes. I think the meds really deplete your system on B vitamins.

This is true and the essential oil brand I use has a warning leaflet in the packaging that some can exacerbate and cause seizures.
Any good aromatherapist should be aware of this
