@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , I got on disability in 2022 & so now I’m with United Healthcare & have Medicare & Medicaid. Plus, by being on disability, every month I’m provided what’s called a UCard with some money on it to get some needed groceries & it covers healthy living necessities like certain foods, over the counter pills, pads, etc. Some years before that, when I didn’t have insurance, I got help from something similar to what @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member mentioned about the state program, I think it’s known as Texas Benefits, or something like that. In 2019, when I didn’t have any insurance, I got help from my local Epilepsy Foundation. Most Epilepsy Foundations offer support groups, programs, events & different types of resources that include assistance with getting your medicine. They put me on a program that they apparently had & I paid $25.00 dollars a year & that included both my Depakote & Vimpat & my bloodwork & my visits with my Neurologist, but the catch with that was that if I needed to get a message to my Neurologist, I had to contact the Epilepsy Foundation & leave the message with them & have them get the message to my Neurologist & plus I had to see their Neurosurgeon, but I got lucky & the Neurologist who I had just started seeing volunteers with my local Epilepsy Foundation & so I got to keep the same Neurologist while on that program. During that time, was when COVID was going around, in 2020 & so I think most of my visits with the Neurologist were done by phone back then. You can go to www.epilepsy.com to look up your local Epilepsy Foundation information & contact them to if you could get some help until you find some new insurance. Good luck. Your friend in Texas, Becky
