Where are you from and how were you able to afford it? Do you know anywhere that provides services such as testing for those with rare diseases?

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I'll have to check if that is a thing in my country. Thank you.

Hi , we had this done in Pittsburgh children hospital (upmc) years ago. I believe the prices are different nowadays. But remember it wasn’t hard or complicated.. good luck 👍🏻

You can contact your insurance company then ask for an EOB (Estimate Of Benefits) as this is something an insurance company does on a daily basis for many reasons from many persons. I have contacted the insurance company for EOB when researching the option of new prescription or if there has been consideration of a general surgery just so I know what the guesstimate coverage would be.

I do hope the above information is of helpful assistance.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, I don't think my insurance would cover testing. We'll have to see.

I'm in the Mid West, originally the East Coast. As for testing, I moved out here for a job issue, met my husband and the rest is history. To affordability I'm under his health insurance obtained by his place of employment. I do my very best to work freelance as of this point due to the Epilepsy activity but there are times when I cannot due to how difficult the Epilepsy has made things. Thankfully the good Lord keeps us both covered with daily blessings and His love so we can manage.
