I am asking because the consultant has run out of drugs to give me and he did mention this just wondering if anyone used it as combi drug and side effects.

I took Gabitril for a while, and began having seizures. Once, at first, after 13 years, but at the time, we figured it was stress-related. Then, over a year later, I had, apparently, "the mother of all seizures", and then some, broke my ankle in five places, had a minor heart attack, and the grand prize was three months in a fabulous (NOT) nursing home. And a few months later, more seizures...the last couple of times I became nearly speechless. Not good. A change of docs was my salvation, since he figured out that the Gabitril was at fault. ( He's passed away, so I can't recommend him, I'm sorry!)
Everyone won't have this great adventure with Gabitril. I'm sure it works out for many more. But my clue should have been when something different began to happen.

I was on keppra, lamictal and lacosamide ( vimpat)) all at once. It had caused very high thoughts of suicide. Weaned off keppra in hospital and increased lamictal. All the medications in this area has that affect. Thought are definitely not as often and as strong. Lamictal causes a lot of tremors. Good luck

I'm on a mixture of topamax and depakote (divalproex). These are the only two drugs I have tried, both separately, and right now they're doing the job together. However, the goal is to eventually get me off the topamax because that is the one we know doesn't work well.
