I cannot drive, but can control my seizures with medicine pretty well. I have at least one aura a day. I have been going to school to become a teacher, but am now having some serious doubts to what I can handle and or want to do for a career.
Don't doubt what you are doing. Keep pushing along and get that degree, whether you teach or not! It is a huge accomplishment and it sounds like you are certainly capable of teaching. My other suggestion would be to talk this through with a therapist or someone who inspires you. We all go through these self-doubt periods and I personally think you just need a boost of confidence (as do i) :) Good luck!
I am a high school teacher and suffer auras every week plus many bad headaches. If it's what you really want to do, do it. First rule : do something you love then the hard days are easily overcome. Be honest to your employer about you, your epilepsy and what extra considerations that may mean for you. Enjoy the job, I love it. Xxx
I Have Had Trouble keeping a job because people dont understands that our brains work differently but i have so much faith that everything will be ok find a place that understands people with seizures or other disability's
If your stress badly at your job your not doing what you love. Find that and in your happiness you'll stress less Meditate everyday. When you stress listen to your self talk, stamp it cancel 3 times and put something positive in it's place. Life for me is not rocket science.Be good to yourself treat others with kindness and love this life you only get one. Be what and who you love. Keep it simple.
