I'm currently on phenobarbital and tapering and not sure if the symptoms and pain I'm feeling are from the meds or something else. Waiting to go for a CT scan,

I was on phenobarbital but that was about 50 years ago.

Thank you Jessica. I'm not sure if it's medication related. Currently waiting to get a ct scan. I have bad pain and I have abdominal bloating. Loss of appetite ugh, and this is a very slow taper. I've taken this med over 50 years I feel miserable!

I'm not "tapering"... but I was on phenobarbital when I was a child. They took me off it IMMEDIATELY! I had the side effect of being "crazy"... so it obviously didn't work for me.

I’ve been tapered down many times on meds while being put onto another medication. By the end of the month I would be off the previous drug and on the other medication.

Then there is when I would get tapered down all my meds during the 5-7 day EEG. Increasing my chances of seizuring.

I went off of three meds I took for a while. The Trileptal was causing dizziness and double vision. Keppra had its rage. Dilantin was bad for the gums and teeth and eventually the Vitamin D level.
