I understand that . A lot of times I don’t even dress. Especially if I’m not going anywhere.

How are you balancing rest and self-care with your epilepsy management?

It sounds like you're listening to your body and prioritizing comfort today, which is so important when living with epilepsy. Taking time to rest and recharge isn't lazy—it's essential self-care.

Many people with epilepsy find that managing their condition means learning to put themselves first, even when it feels uncomfortable or guilty at times. Relaxing days like this can help reduce stress, which is a common seizure trigger for many.

Enjoy your cozy day with Sammy! Sometimes the best thing we can do for our health is simply allow ourselves to rest without guilt.

Rhondaschnee Sometimes that all we can do when our bodies give us signals . With me anymore it seems to be mostly the lower part of me that’s constantly feeling tired and weak. I know it can be a hand full. But all we can do is manage it the best way that works for ourselves and is only. Not family members nor Drs. Because they have no clue of what and how we feel.

I know how ur feeling. For the last couple weeks all I’ve been doing is sleeping. I just can’t seem to stay awake. I’ve been sleeping at least 12 hours a day if not more. Had a little bit of snow yesterday. Thankfully my dog is on free feed so I don’t have to worry about sleeping through his mealtime. I even fell asleep standing while doing dishes. The dog barked to wake me up, so I just went back to bed and slept for another 4 hours. I think it’s because of my FM, but I’m not sure. It might be because of all the sleep I missed during the first FM flare up right before this sleeping stage. But I’m listening to my body and sleeping.
