Members connected over the exhausting reality of living with epilepsy, with many sharing how fatigue, especially in the lower body, makes even simple daily tasks feel overwhelming. Several members offered practical strategies like adjusting medication timing with a doctor's guidance, taking daily naps, dressing comfortably on rest days, and listening to the body to avoid overdoing it. A recurring theme was the frustration of feeling dismissed by doctors and the comfort found in knowing others in the community truly understand the daily struggle.

Nap is my middle name now. I'm on Xcopri, Vimpant and Zionsmide. Basically a walking Zombie....

I take a 1-2 hour nap everyday to help me from being so tired.

JavonneTSmith I’m in my 50’s now as well. And starting to notice more with my two conditions than what I did before hitting the 5-0 mark . Starting think think more about what will be safe for me when getting around on foot. The days I get very fatigued I’m usually stuck to the couch the whole entire day and I hate that. Those days I really wish I had a wheelchair to keep me mobile on those days.

SueElf , my entire lower body has felt tired right down to both of my feet. This isn’t the first time I’ve gone though this . Thankfully I’ve not had to go anywhere today. I start getting very worrisome when my lower body gets that way. Especially when having to go up and down stairs in the home.

I take one day at a time. If I am not doing anything that day and can stay home then I will dress comfortably as I am not going anywhere. If I need to run errands I will dress simply but will also have something on that is presentable for running those errands. Then when coming home after removing my sneakers or shoes and socks will then remove errand clothes, put them away, and place my comfortable clothes back on as I am going nowhere for the rest of the afternoon and evening.
