I walk and talk to family
I look at it as it’s something I have and can’t do anything about it. The same as my cancer. There’s nothing I can do about it, so why should I feel bad about it? I don’t have a problem about having to live with it, so why should anyone else try to make me feel guilty or bad about it. Plus I tell myself that there’s always someone else out there who has something way worse than I do, so why would I throw myself a pity party? I can only try to keep it manageable by taking my meds at the same time everyday, mark down when I have a seizure , listen to my body and pay attention to when my dog alerts on me. So why waste my time and energy being angry about something I can’t control? Sure, I didn’t ask or want to have it, but I do and there’s nothing I can do about it.
Yeah i manage my meds intake but its just something we cant control that’s what makes some of us angry if u read my story you’ll understand just how out of nowhere it happened just wishing i was free
How do you manage to stay happy with epilepsy when anger and frustration hit when you're alone?
It's completely normal to feel angry about living with epilepsy. Many people experience these waves of emotion, especially in private moments when everything hits at once.
