Do you experience times when your emotions feel out of control, leading to raised voices and regrettable words?
Yes, emotional changes and mood swings are common experiences for people living with epilepsy. Many MyEpilepsyTeam members discuss feeling really emotional or experiencing changes in their emotions, especially Show Full Answer
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I actually have a story about this very situation. I made a comment on a post in a epilepsy Facebook group a few years ago and some guy randomly lashed out at me for no reason. I just left it and didn't really say anything. I kind of knew this could happen so I didn't worry to much about it. a few hrs later he commented and apologized and basically explained that this is what happened. He said it was a uncontrollable emotional change. I've had this before as well but not to this extant. It can be side caused by side effects as well it just depends on what type you have.
Good post, I agree with the ai mentioned about, and I have had that happen on occasion, it does vary on occasion also, I do have have feelings and depends on what I thought about or came about to me at the moment it' did, I think of it as a way to express my emotions and handle them, I also look at it like a venting period also, I think it's dif per person and how they go about the post here and whatever they do, I hope it works out for and the outcome with it and benefits them and their life with overall, I hang in there and try to stay pos and so can everyone else my opinion here amen
You may want to look up your medications side effects . Keppra for example earned the name Rage Drug , because of its side effects . There are a few other meds that have a similar side effect.
www.drugs.com can help you with that .
Another possibility of your emotions going out of control, are because an after effect from your seizure.
