I had a similar experience when I had my Tonic clonic seizure just over 3 years ago. The whole thing was really strange because I felt basically fine after it apart from not being able to how ever a few hrs later I had a headache that got really bad then I just felt like crap for the next 5 days.

What I did basically right when I got back from the hospital was write down everything I did remember pre seizure and every I remembered post seizure. this was over a period of about 24 hrs. What I worked out was there still a window of about 15-30mins I don't know what's going on but it could be up to 2 hrs.

Due to this I losed my job as the management do don't believe it. They have only seen me in wores conditions. The stress of loosing my job led to full fits were I ended up in hospital, for the first time in over 2 decades.

Have you experienced a focal seizure where you were conscious but don't remember what happened?

Yes, what you're describing sounds like a focal impaired awareness seizure (previously called a complex partial seizure). This is actually quite common - about 36 percent of people with epilepsy experience this type of seizure.

During these seizures, you may appear awake or have a blank stare, but your consciousness is affected. You might not interact with people or things around you normally, and afterward, you typically won't remember what happened during the seizure.

These seizures usually last from 30 seconds to two minutes. During them, people often make automatic movements like:
* Staring off into space
* Chewing movements or lip smacking
* Picking at clothes
* Excessive blinking
* Walking aimlessly

A MyEpilepsyTeam member shared a similar experience, describing feeling like "more and more of my memory is taken" after each seizure. The confusion and memory loss you're experiencing is a normal part of this seizure type, and many people feel tired for a few hours afterward.
