I was going to a website called forume4e in 2014. I was on there for a few years. I found out about this at around the same time. I signed up to here but never really went on here. forume4e gradually had less and less users then in 2017 they stopped all new posts on by 2021 it was shut down. A few years later I was on here.

I used to go to epilepsy.com and we'd have live conversations. Then when they discontinued that, I started coming here.

How did you become part of MyEpilepsyTeam?

It's wonderful that you've found this community! You likely signed up through the website or were referred by someone who knew about this resource. MyEpilepsyTeam is designed specifically for people with epilepsy and their loved ones to connect, share experiences, and support each other.

You're absolutely right that this should be available from day one. Many newly diagnosed members express similar feelings about wishing they'd known about the community sooner. Healthcare providers, hospitals, and medical practices sometimes offer referrals to support resources, but awareness varies.

If you found this helpful, consider mentioning MyEpilepsyTeam to your healthcare team. They might start recommending it to other newly diagnosed patients. You can also welcome new members yourself by saying hello, answering questions in the Q&A section, or simply liking and hugging posts from others who are just starting their journey.

The community has over 122,000 members who understand what living with epilepsy is like, and you're now part of that support network.
