give out in that arm. With me having a shunt on the right side of my head due to my hydrocephalus, normally my left arm is affected by seizures, so I doubt it was seizure related, but the question is what other conditions could probably make that occur for sometime now I’ve had burning sensations through my spine from the neck, all the way down to the lower part of my spine could that maybe be causing that happen ? I’m having all kinds of questions go through my head right now.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Again, I repeat, this is most likely spinal stenosis. burning sensation is a common diagnosis, weakness in legs & lower limbs. Pain & burning in hands could result from pressure on the nerve sheath at the cervical vertebrae. The hands I know about as I dealt with it for a while. Don't doubt what I'm saying & do not screw with it as it can be addressed!!! A friend from Church is dealing with spinal stenosis through thoracic and lumbar vertebrae, he went from walking to using 2 canes & now has a hell of a time getting around. He stopped attending services at Church 2 months ago and now listens to service online and Bible study as it's broadcast on KFUO. He's scheduled for pain injections starting 1/17/2026 these will occur a few times prior to the surgery that will address the stenosis. Most likely he won't be able to drive to Church until 2/2026.

Matt won't operate on me for obvious reasons, but I've used the others at one point in time. I doubt you'll contact them as you're in Hayes, but check with another Ortho group in your area.

You know the left side of the brain works the right side of the body and the right side of the brain works the left side of the body didn't you? It took me awhile to understand that until I got older and began to learn more about my own epileptic type of seizure activity.
Because there are so many nerves in the body these nerves are effected in so many different ways when seizure spikes take place. I began learning about my own seizure activity by asking questions to anyone that would listen and taking notes then keeping them in a way I could remember for learning easily.
I had an ulnar release operation on my right arm that came undone in a couple months. The main reason I had it done was because I was dropping everything and I was tired of buying dishes and keeping the dogs away from the broken plates, glasses etc. Now my upper arm swells up to 3-4” bigger than the other arm, and I still have the same problem. I can’t lift anything heavier than a can of soup. It’s a pain. Carry anything heavy or just too big in both hands and try to take my cane over an arm which keeps me off balance and easier to fall. The amount of food and broken plates Ive dropped is mind blowing
