Often at times. Actually, more than I’d like to to be honest it can happen for me more so if I’m barefoot then wanna have shoes on why that is I don’t have a clue. It seems to happen more as I’ve gotten older too.

"What causes my feet to not cooperate sometimes, especially when barefoot?"

Problems with coordination and balance can be related to seizure activity, particularly drop attacks. These issues can be concerning and potentially dangerous, as they may lead to falls and injuries. Wearing proper footwear is important for maintaining stability and safety. For safety, consider these protective measures:
• Work with your healthcare team to create a seizure safety plan
• Wear appropriate footwear consistently
• Consider using protective gear like a helmet when necessary
• Make your environment safer by removing potential hazards
• Discuss any changes in symptoms with your neurologist, especially if they're becoming more frequent with age

That was happening to me because of a seizure medication that I was taking, which began making me lose my balance and the bottom of my feet would hurt sometimes

Just a stupid question have you seen an orthopedist. If it's going all the way up your spine they'd be able to diagnose gate issues, which would cause pain all the way up bone, if you have a spinal stenosis, or possible bulging or other disc issues which could cause the "pinched nerve" issue you mentioned.
If it's a "Bulging" disc you could experience similar issues, as it may push against the nerve sheath, which would get worse until it becomes herniated, & you don't want that, it's a bit*h. Other possibles are spinal stenosis or fractures. I've had all of the above, so I can only compare to what I experience to what you say you have & not knowing results of any tests you may have had. My brother or any MD worth their salt will not make a final diagnosis without supporting test results.
Many moons ago my arch on my left foot collapsed, so my gate was affected which caused pain up to lower neck when walking barefoot, if I had my shoes on that had special inserts the pain would subside, although I get fuzzy feet every now & then. I haven't looked into that as it eventually goes away.

Like you I also have pinched nerves in my spine. It’s not been confirmed that I do but I constantly have a burning sensation throughout my spine especially in the thoracic spine area. I also feel it in my lumbar area of my spine. The last couple of years I’ve been getting discomfort in the back of my neck as well however I’ve mentioned it to my neurologist several times and when I did it again back in June, he told me it was because I’m getting older. That kind of answer I know is nothing but telling me to shut up and deal with it, but he doesn’t want to do anything about it but yeah, I do have a burning sensation through my feet now as well and tingling so I know exactly what you’re going through.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, I have a VNS that's now dead. When wasn't and I had to have an mri, my Dr. would cut it off for the time period and afterwards would go back to have it turned back on. Something you could ask about if want if have 1 again in near future.
