Like meeting people on dating apps normally I would not mention it til we meet or the need comes up but going thru a post seizure thing right now, waiting to see a specialist. Been to my neurologist.
most people I know know about my epilepsy I'm not afraid of sharing it
it helps spreading awareness about epilepsy
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, I lost my gf to cancer. I know it is hard starting over at my age. Any man would be lucky to have you, even though you have Epilepsy. A real man would Love and support you and even be there for you when you needed them! You are a beautiful woman!
Finally spilled it to this person and so far on text seemed unconcerned about it, but had not lived with it either. So we will see. Glad for that but we will see.
I don't use dating apps I don't trust them
I go out when I can so I meet people then
going can help your epilepsy if you take precautions and carry some emergency medication if you are on any just in case
it also keeps you physically well
if you do start to feel unwell find somewhere to sit until the worst is over
always go places where there will be people around not places where you would be isolated
Once we start talking and when we start to make plans for a date I usually tell them. Then I ask is that going to be a problem? For me, I can't remember it being a problem or at least not yet. I guess it would be different now that I am over 7 years seizure free with a driver's license and a car(truck).
