@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, it might be time to be an advocate for yourself. Starting with the medications you are taking now and keep a log of how you are feeling before and after taking your meds. For more information side effects use, www.drugs.com.
Thank you
They told me the neurologist I’ve been seeing said because I’m a woman/colored biracial/combat veteran. I have PNES/conversion disorder for secondary gain they said it’s been 10 years and my seizures are the hardest ones to get rid of because it’s all in my head and I’m crazy with mental illness disorders like 20 of them that would be the first case in history of comorbid disorders and they’re saying that that’s why I have these “” fake seizures and and I’m still getting sick with epileptic fits they don’t hear me and they don’t listen. I went back to the health consortium with Searhc and they took me off my Keppra and put me on Depakote one of the hardest medications on your body and wash their hands on me.
Yes. That is how I feel now. Perhaps it's just my subconscious.
I remember about 15 years ago when I would take my meds at 6 a.m. There would be times when I would have a seizure at around 8 a.m. Either while I was having a seizure or right after, my family would give me another dose of meds. It would really knock me out and make me dizzy and I would sleep for hours. My Neurologist told my mother not to do that anymore!
