I'm quite overweight so it may be a positive to lose weight on it aswell as hopefully reducing seizures . This is my 11th medication and I'm kind of done with everything no so it's last chance .
I take it too, and I have so many problems every day with my memory even trying to think of a song or remember the name of a person that I just met just drives me nuts. Been taking it for 15 years now, and I wish I didn't have to.
Hi @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , Welcome to the site. Everyone can react differently to each medication. Years ago, I took Topamax but it made me lose to much weight & so my Pediatric Neurologist took me off it. I don’t remember how long I took it for. Your friend in Texas, Becky
