I’ve been weaned off meds while being put onto a different AED (drug) , many times . All because I my doctor couldn’t find the right medications to help control my seizure 100% .
My Dr . Told me That I have Refractory Epilepsy
(resistant to the medication ).
Talk to your Dr. maybe you have the same thing.
What Quinn commented about isn't uncommon to happen when changing meds. Thankfully it hasn't happened often with me. I've been through similarities once when changed to another med and it took time for me to adjust. Thankfully no longer on that med. Hoping your time Amy won't take time to adjust, inform your Dr. about it also.
Amy switching from one drug to another will happen. It’s not uncommon every time I do a switch ever I normally have issues myself. You’re not alone in that one. Your neurologist should’ve told you that if he or she didn’t. There’s always risk switching from one drug to another. Waiting from one drug to a new one will make seizures occur.
