Yesterday I had my first seizure in almost a month. I have a nasty cold and feel really rough. Is it very common for colds and being generally unwell a trigger for seizures?
Every patient is unique. My seizure kicker is a UTI.
Each patient has sensitivities when not feeling right. Concentration is hard until all symptoms are gone! Working with patients always had mask on and gloves! Depending on virus or illness.
I always worry when I have an elevated temperature when I am sick or if I have an upset stomach.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, I hope you’re feeling better and yes when I’m under the weather my immune system gets a little bit weaker and it can cause me to either have a seizure or get that funny feeling before I have one.

Seizures can happen anytime. I had flu for 5 weeks and seizures galore.
