I had a seizure on the way to work yesterday. The ambulance made me go to hospital as they were concerned about the rash ive had since Saturday which I thought was some sort of allergic reaction to the tattoo cream I was using ( I had my other hand tattooed last Thursday). @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member You would be surprised how common this is, especially when people who are in hospital originally for something else then suddenly, they get really sick have all these tests, drs can't figure out what's going on than days later it comes back as staph. I would say if you have Epilepsy in the first place it just makes getting it worse than what it is for the everyday person.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I am so glad I was taken to hospital after that seizure so I had the infection diagnosed so quickly. I was in and out of A and E in 45 minutes with my prescription and that is unheard of! I am feeling a lot better now 💕
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member They normally get around this by only prescribing antibiotics that don't interfere with the meds. Some may have some interference technically but its still better then not treating the infection.

I had a staff infection last year this time of the year. Nobody could figure it out until it got so bad that I ended up in the hospital for 7 days. Totally ridiculous. I went to 3 different doctors. The last one was just out of school and he figured it out. Lesson learned. And I had seizures for months from the pain.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I've learnt my lesson now. I will get it checked out sooner. By the way I dont have the like or hug icons on my epilepsy team. I don't suppose you would know how to fix that? Its annoying i cant like comments etc.
