I have been seizure free for 7 years. So far, my doctor has decided not to take me off or decrease my meds. Remember, there is NO cure for Epilepsy. You can go 25 years without having a seizure, and for some reason, you could have a seizure!

Based on the responses to my question, best course of action is to continue with meds but consult with neurologist to maybe change meds to something with less side effects. Makes total sense!

One of my meds is Lamictal. I really didn't go down very much, but it made me feel much better. I was on 300mg (one day, one night). Then I went to 300 in the morning but 250 at night and that made a difference.

Speak To Your Neurologist About All Effects You Are Having With Your Meds. 12/2023 I Stopped One Meds, My am & Afternoon Vimpat On My Own Because It Wasn't Helping My Seizures That I Continued To Have 5-6 Times A Month, And I Was Tired All Day Until The Evening. I Now Have 1 Seizure A Yr So Far

I think the questions should be answered by your neurologist. Take care.
