I really need to toss out my flip-flop/slippers since I also have balance issues in them. Weirdly enough I have found those cheap "river shoes" to be decent alternative. I also have foot issues, so I had to work up my foot strength with exercises and walking with lace-up walking shoes. So far this summer I have been doing pretty well with those river shoes around the house, cool enough like slippers but stay on my feet. Not much padding however, more like walking barefoot with a layer of protection - so not going to go out for a walk.
We obviously are different. Depends on everyone. I have to hold on to a rail when going downstairs.
I live in my slippers. My Ugg Olsen moccasin are my go to everyday.
Lena, it's nice to see you! I have balance issues b/c of epilepsy and my stroke. I also have arthritis and a bunion. Look, we have so much in common (lol).
My balance is awful, but I found that the DC shoes "villain" slippers do wonders. They are a house shoe that can be used as an all day shoe or as a slipper. It even has a back on it like a shoe. So comfy and comes in so many colors. I got mine on Amazon. They are typically lower price because people don't see them as skate shoes - which are more expensive. Oh, they will warm your feet up too.
