ever. Just the other day when I was at work when I had barely been there an hour yet I was like it’s time to get these shoes and socks off my feet. I just dread having anything on my feet what so ever anymore. Haven’t felt like a seizure is trying to come on during this time but still I’m seeing it’s pretty much an obvious thing anymore. Both during the day and as the evening starts as well. Is this a normal thing for someone that’s epileptic? I’m just curious. In my 40’s, 30’s and 20’s it… read more

Members connected over the shared experience of foot sensitivity and discomfort with shoes, with many noting they prefer going barefoot or wearing minimal footwear whenever possible. Several members suggested practical alternatives like moccasins, water shoes, and sandals as comfortable options that feel close to barefoot while still offering some protection. A recurring theme was the importance of talking to a doctor to rule out other causes like neuropathy or circulation issues, while the community warmly shared personal stories and product tips to help manage daily comfort.

I was brought up in an era, where you must put on bedroom shoes in the house. You better have the correct shoes on your feet when you left the house.

Wearing sandals was just the idea, possibly the solution to this?

Hallo .. William here .. Jen and me be shaking this up a wee bit .. always we be taking off our outside shoes before coming in .., to be keeping dirt and germs outside .. our sons do same in their homes.. because I be having but one foot .. and the tendency to fall a bit .. 😢 Jen get us both socks with the wee dots on the bottom to prevent slipping .. we also go barefoot inside .. in winter we wear Mukluks which have safety dots on bottom .. Jen buy us both black men's socks with cushion soles and safety dots .. they be tube type and fit either left or right foot .. as I be having only right foot .. a couple pair be lasting me quite a while ..😀 and no worry about mismatching when we wash and dry them ., this be practical for us all .. as all our lads prefer the short below ankle socks .. sorting laundry be even easier .. hugs and prayers from William and Jen 💜💙🤗🤗🕊🕊

I have had issues such as yours since I was in my early 50ths like you. Plain and simple my feet run hot. I am 66yrs young.
I had triple bypass surgery in 2025 and at that time it reversed and now run ice cold at night were now I ware socks to bed. The podiatrist that I go to for diabetic check says I have a good pulse in feet. However, my bottom of legs is still swollen. In meaning my heart still pumping non efficient at this time.
I do not feel it will ever get better.

Back to you are you a diabetic?
Do you feel you have any other medical conditions. Anything out of the ordinary beside your feet.
Have you discussed this problem with your doctor?
Have blood work done and find out for sure. This could be a beginning of a larger problem.
My self I sufferer from, Epilepsy as we all know. Also, I suffer from. Heart disease 2003.
Am a diabetic type 2, 2009 kidney disease stage 3, 2026. Optical all my life.
I must admit here I am breathing, walking and talking.
Though my mind is slowing down every seizure I have after recovery part of my mind
limits my ability to communicate with people.
I find lose the ability to remember what I am talking about with the other person only remembering that conversation in its entirety a couple of days later.

If you have read this from the beginning, I'm sorry I have severely left the original subject matter.

I truly suggest you see your M, D. and discuss it with him.
You might be heading off a larger problem that won't be easy to fix.

Have a blessed day
