My daughter started taking this medicine since December 2023 and she lost a lot of weight throughout this time plus had a kidney stone. This last time we saw her Epileptologist, he changed the prescription to lacosamide instead. Her seizures are 100% under control being on.Zonisamide and Lamotregine, but unfortunately, she has a lot of side effects such as emotional, bad memory, and losing weight

Weight loss is one of the many side effects of zonisamide. I lost weight when i also took it.
I've been on Zonisamide for several years. Works when it wants. Still when weather changes i get partial seizures. Learned to control and live with.
I've been on e ery med possible since I was 5 yrs old. I am now 70.
I am glad DBS was helpful 🙏🏼 I hope that they find the cure.
