I take 12 mg of fycompa (perampanel) as an extra drug to my other 3 other anti-seizure meds
I took either 16mg perampanel last evening
I normally have 8 mg + 2 mg + 2mg ready in advance together with all the other meds, as it took a long time to get the new pills from the local pharmacy.
Unfortunately, I was only planning to add the 2mg fycompa pills to my pill box but I now realise that I must have been really tired already, so I ended up adding and taking an extra 8mg.

I Started Taking Fycompa 8 mg In 2017 & I Now Take 12 mg, The Highest Dosage. Best Meds Out Of Several Meds I Have Taken Since 2000. In The Beginning, I Was Taking It In The Afternoon & Feeling Tired Until I Realized It Was A Strong Night Medication, Which The Neurologist I Had At The Time Never Told Me To Take In The Evening. I Also Starting Having Auras For The First Time With Fycompa. Good Luck & Have A Seizure-Free Day & Week.
Sorry you had such a scare. Once I took all my medicine twice in one night, and I was okay. The next day, I bought a pill box.

This sound weird, but both of my parents died before my seizures became very bad. The same thing happens to me at night. I have had 2 brain surgies, and am going to have my 3rd. If you don't mind I would like to put you on my prayer list
When my mother was alive and I was still having seizures. When I would have a seizure, my mother would give me an extra dose of Medicine. It would make me "high", dizzy, and tired. I would sleep for hours. When we discussed it with my Neurologist, my Neurologist told my mother NOT to do that anymore!
