I had a strange episode today, where I was very confused, lightheaded and angry at my roommate for no reason, and I barely remember why, could that be from Keppra? Or a seizure?

I'm only 5 weeks on Keppra and going through the side effects of headache, nausea, irritability and emotions but have to keep up a positive outlook whilst it's getting in to my system.

It’s keppra Dylan, maybe if it doesn’t clear up it’s not the right med

Depending on where your seizure activities are located , would depend on whether or not a seizure triggered you to become mad or angry.

It is very possible that you were experiencing the Side Effects from Keppra

I hear a lot of people have many symptoms. I started keppra after brain surgery in 2000 and I dont feel as much symptoms. As a matter of fact, after being on so many different meds, this one gave me the least symptoms. Ill give you a tip, if you ever feel swelling in your throat (which is one symptom ive heard 2 many people complain about) there is something you can do about it. . pull your tongue as far back as you can to reach where the swelling is and rub it with your tongue 4 as long as you can hold your breath.for (it will block your air passage) then stick your tongue out as far as you can for 10 seconds. Repeat this 4-6 times until the swelling goes away. You will notice the swelling coming back less and less as time goes by. Because the meds cause this it cant be eliminated 4ever. I only need to do it 2 times now which takes less than a minute now and the swelling doesnt come back every time i take the meds. Only once in a while.Good luck

They don’t call it “keppra rage” for nothing. It’s a thing.
