Living with epilepsy can make communication challenging at times, especially when words don't come to mind quickly enough. It's completely understandable to feel frustrated when others need to repeat themselves, but remember that this is a common experience for many people with epilepsy.

Some people find it helpful to be upfront about needing extra time to process conversations. Being open about these communication needs can help reduce stress and set appropriate expectations with others. While others may feel momentary frustration at having to repeat themselves, they likely don't understand the daily challenges of managing epilepsy. Your feelings are valid, and it's important to remember that taking the time you need to communicate effectively is perfectly okay. Focus on being patient with yourself rather than worrying about others' temporary inconvenience.

I do the best I can with everything. I am around people who know my issues and are very supportive. Not everyone is as lucky as I am. I'm over wondering if it is meds or diagnosis. I AM ME!

They ought to be a shamed of themselves. Don't let it bother you Vicki, their day will come when they will do the same. Some of my family use to be that way a while back, others I know weren't.

Yeah I have had to repeat myself or have trouble finding the words. My family says they speak mom. The other day my eldest son said something and he said oh no I'm speaking mom now. You've rubbed off on me and started laughing at himself than said let me try that again I said no need I understood you and we both laughed.
