How Can I Lose Weight And Go Back To The Size And Weight I Was Before I Started Taking Epilim Chrono
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Because ever since I started taking that medication 12 years ago I have put on over 30kg of weight and it got to a point where I really need to do something about it and I’ve been trying like eating less cut sweets, chocolate and fizzy drinks out of my diet but nothing seems to be working every time I go and weight myself it still the same

See thing is I’ve spoken to my neurologist about that medication making me gain weight and they lowered the dose I take and it still has not made any difference to it and I still have that 30kg that it made me gain in weight still on but all I want to do is lose it because it makes me feel really fat and has made me end up getting high cholesterol because of it

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , Let your doctor know what is going on if you haven’t already, because some medications have a side effect of making a person gain or loose weight & the medication you’re on could be making you gain the weight. When I took Topamax, it made me loose to much weight & so I had to get off it. Otherwise, I don’t think I’ve had a problem with any of my seizure meds causing me weight issues. But let your doctor know so they might be able to adjust something if they feel it’s right. Good luck. Your friend in Texas, Becky

It's probably the side effect from your medication. When meds cause weight gain it's tough to control . Maybe ask your doctor if you could change your med .

You may want to first look up the side effects of the med(s) you’re taking. First

And this was me seven years ago before I started taking Epilim Chrono as you can see from the pictures I’ve put a lot of weight on because of it so any help would be greatly appreciated
