I have this type most often and it frustrates me when I come out of it and realize I have been doing it while I’m around someone who doesn’t know I have epilepsy or anything about the disease.

I have Focal onset impairment awareness seizures ( AKA. Complex Partial Seizure ) . Most of the time I have no clue when I seizure. When I’m around my family and friends , they will always alert me. When in public , I would get weird staring eyes.

I guess the things that help me cope ………

1. Knowing that, I wasn’t the only one with Epilepsy.
2. Realizing that this is the fact of my Life.
3. Reducing stress and trying to stay positive can help
4. I always remind myself that Epilepsy doesn’t control my life, it just throws obstacles in my way.
5. A support groups or a site like this, with others who have Epilepsy.

It took me 20 years to cope well, with my epilepsy. That was starting from my late baby yrs into my early adult hood.

Unfortunately we are missed understood and if we tell people our disability they get scare!!! I just had a mild seziue at out work. I let company know of my health issue. They very carefully and kind too me. I just can't work FT and can't be apart of BIG EVENTS at work. 😔. I want surgery but the affects is what got me scare. I'm deaf in my left ear. Getting support has helped alot . Was diagnosed in 2011 when my BFF went into labor!! At McDonald's lol.
